Martin Thomas Associates is a consultancy practice with vast experience of historic & cultural buildings. The senior members of the Practice are highly qualified and experienced in their relevant disciplines and have been involved in integrating modern services into historic fabric for over twenty years.
The challenges of aesthetics and the quest for service voids are acknowledged and the conflict between comfort heating, conservation and environmental control is well understood; these have been resolved successfully in many important historic buildings. We have a genuine interest in the preservation of historic fabric and the concept of repair rather than replacement is supported. We aim always to integrate modern services with minimal intervention and fabric loss.
