Pendennis Barrack Block

Brief Description
Pendennis Barrack Block was built in 1900 to house the 105th Regiment of the Royal Garrison Artillery.

The building was let for many years to the YHA who operated a youth hostel from the site, but following the withdrawal of the YHA, conservation and refurbishment was required so that the building could have a function on the site. English Heritage have therefore re-used this building to provide excellent conference and function spaces, education rooms and a fully equipped catering kitchen to support the function spaces as well as refurbishing the existing Visitor Café.

Martin Thomas Associates were appointed for the project which included new toilets, full catering facilities, lifts, education rooms and external power supplies for events. A new buried power supply was provided to the building.
