Royal Crescent, Bath
The project was to reunify the two buildings No 1 & 1A in The Royal Crescent, which for many years have been under separate ownership and use. The Bath Preservation Trust who occupyand look after No 1 as a museum portraying Georgian life in Bath, took over No 1A, which was derelict. Both buildings have undergone careful conservation and restoration, with improvements to provide better access and education facilities. Both buildings are Grade I listed. An Interpretation and lighting designer has carefully planned the spaces to conceal the modern requirements of the museum whilst presenting as true a Georgian image as possible.
