[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]The first phase of MTA’s commission on the new Library project at Canford School, Dorset has just been successfully completed, commissioned and re-opened for School use. The project involved the refurbishment of the existing Assembly Hall which is to abut and link into the new Library construction adjacent. A new balcony for additional seating was constructed at both the east and west end of the hall with new access staircases, in place of the original stage, as part of the first phase works.

MTA provided designs for new lighting, emergency lighting, lighting control systems, fire alarm systems and Audio Visual services as well as adaptions and enhancements to the existing heating, small power and security installations.

A new plant room is being built onto the rear of the Assembly Hall, as part of the second phase project works, for the main heating plant serving both the new Library and existing Assembly Hall.  A temporary boiler installation is providing heating to the Assembly Hall, allowing its ongoing use, pending commissioning and connections from the new plant room boiler installation.

DALI controlled high level lighting has been installed, supplemented by bi-directional wall lighting to enhance the perimeters of the Hall, as shown in the photo below.
