MTA were appointed by the National Trust to carry out a quinquennial survey of the Mechanical and Electrical Services at Ham House, beside the River Thames near Richmond. The house is described by the National Trust as one of the grandest Stuart buildings in England and it is reputed to be one of the most haunted houses, attracting many visitors.

The survey incorporated the main house, the Garden Maintenance Sheds, the Orangery, the Dairy, the Café and the Public Toilets. The aim of the survey is to establish the condition of the services, to make recommendations as to their replacement (if necessary) and to prioritise the works required to enable the National Trust to budget, plan and instigate these works to ensure the ongoing conservation of this important heritage building.

MTA have carried out many Quinquennial Surveys for the National Trust, including Petworth, Clandon, Kingston Lacy, Ightham Mote, Uppark, Stourhead, Dyrham Park, the Birmingham Back to Back Houses.
