Canford School, Dorset

Brief Description

Canford School is an early-mid 19th Century Building and is Grade I listed. It became a school in 1923. In the grounds, a Norman church and the 14th Century John O’Gaunt’s kitchen survive and are used by the school.

The main building forms the nucleus of the school but there are a number of more modern buildings built as the school’s requirements increased.

MTA have been involved in a number of projects between 2006 and 2013, providing advice and design for various buildings, including Wimborne, Montacute, Salisbury Chamber and John O’Gaunt Houses, the Geography/Economy/Biology Block, the Central Block, and the extension to the Biology Block.
