Glastonbury Abbey

Brief Description

The Rescue our Ruins Appeal for Glastonbury Abbey was launched in May 2012 with a view to raising £½ million. The Appeal continues but funds have been raised to allow restoration of the Abbotts Kitchen and the Lady Chapel.

The Abbotts Kitchen is a fine example of a medieval monastic kitchen now open to visitors and the Lady Chapel built circa 1184 is being restored to its former glory and the crypt below re-presented with complementary lighting.
