Brief Description
Rochester Cathedral is a Grade I Listed Building and one of England’s oldest medieval cathedrals with the earliest parts of the building dating from 1080AD.
The ‘Hidden Treasures–Fresh Expressions’ project focuses on the Crypt, Library and the Cathedral’s hidden collections. The creation of a secure exhibition space within the mediaeval crypt and renovation of the library for further display is intended to make the collections accessible to the public.
A Heritage Lottery Fund was awarded in February 2013 and the project is currently out to tender.
