Brief Description

Stokesay Castle was constructed at the end of the 13th Century by Laurence of Ludlow. The fortified mediaeval Manor House and 17th century gatehouse are some of the best preserved buildings from the era, offering stunning views over the Shropshire countryside.

As part of the refurbishment programme, MTA were appointed to undertake a feasibility study for transforming the cottage into a new tea room with flat over and the gate house into holiday accommodation.

As a result of the feasibility study, the tea rooms went ahead.

Martin Thomas Associates were appointed to undertake all the Mechanical and Electrical Consultancy Works for the Tea Rooms.

This included a complete strip out of existing services and new installations to serve the café and flat above.

The specification included heating and lighting systems, fire and intruder alarms, emergency lighting, communications & data systems, mechanical ventilation to bathrooms and kitchens and external lighting.
