Following on from the High Court ruling in May 2014 that Richard III’s remains should be reinterred at Leicester Cathedral, the burial plans and associated Cathedral re-ordering works can now move forward, with the reinterment scheduled for Spring 2015.

Work is due to begin in Leicester Cathedral at the beginning of August and continue until late January to reorder the east end of the Cathedral to create a special place of honour for the King’s tomb.

MTA will maintain a close on site involvement with the works throughout construction, alongside other members of the professional team; Architects van Heyningen and Haward, Cost Consultants MDA, Lighting Designers Light Perceptions and Structural Engineers Pryce & Myers.

You can find out more about the project at the King Richard III in Leicester Cathedral website at Kingrichardinleicester.com
