Stokesay Castle in Shropshire is a 13th century fortified manor house, located just outside the busy and popular towns of Ludlow and Craven Arms, which is visited by approximately 40,000 people per annum.
MTA were successful in their bid to English Heritage and won the M&E element of the project. The project aims to improve both Stokesay’s commercial performance and the visitor experience. It involves the conversion of the newly acquired cottage outside the property pay line into a new tea room with an outdoor play area and first floor residential accommodation suitable for letting, the conversion of the 17th century Gatehouse for use as a holiday cottage and general improvements to the site wide interpretation.
