The Walronds was formally opened by HRH the Duke of Gloucester on Friday 13th June.

The Grade 1 listed Walronds building was on the English Heritage Risk Register and received English Heritage & Lottery funding allowing the Collumpton Walronds Presevation Trust to start the much needed restoration project which ran over 18 months.

MTA were appointed to design the building services involving new gas, water and electricity connections, a complete new heating system including underfloor, new distribution & lighting, new fire & intruder alarm systems, lightning protection and new data & communications systems including hearing loops and gate entry.
The ground floor of the building is open to the local community for all kinds of events and the upper floors have been converted to provide holiday lets through the Vivat Trust.
